Question
Why does ebay bog down so slow when using the back button to get back to the search page? If I click from the search to an auction, click to Watch this Item, then click the back button, it moves quickly to the page telling me it's being watched. The click back to the auction is fast, too. However, the click back to the search from there or from any auction page is just so incredibly slow. It sits there for a bit, then the cursor changes to an hourglass, and we wait, then it begins to load that annoying banner ad, and we wait, and finally finally it loads the page.
Does anyone else experience this?
Do you think it has to do with my blocking the ebay.doubleclick.net cookies?
Answer
Last time I looked they were discussing that very thing over on the Ebay technical chatboard..it has something to do with the banner ads.
Use Firefox for a browser and you won't have any problems..My IE6 hangs up just like yours does.

I do need to talk to DH about getting us that Firefox thing. Is it free, or do we have to buy it? Is it something you download? I will have Haro look into it.
Well, even with ebay slow I have managed to buy three items (4?) this morning. I am on vacation this week and really living it up!
Answer
It's a free download and runs just like IE but quicker..my wife runs IE6 on her computer and she was complaining yesterday about search..I have Firefox downloaded for her but she doesn't use it for some reason only known to a woman.

I use opera (another free browser) for that reason. I tried ebay on several friends computers and the back button worked the same on all of them so I gave up on it. opera works great.

My puter got fried last night trying to access an ebay page! I am on DH's puter now. It fried the internet connection, I think. Haro didn't have time to fix it last night.
It's all because of that damn teapot. I simply cannot get a teapot! I tried to buy another one, and the seller is MIA. I was researching her latest ebay activities when my browser crashed and now I have no internet.
