We took some time off from listing this summer and then began to list again about the middle of August....Well you would have though we were the only game in town..We have been selling like crazy and can barely keep up with it all...woo hoooo...Is this a sign of a terrific fall or what?? We had started to work on a website, but have had no time to work on it yet. This is totally amazing.

Things have been chugging right along. Last week was a high sell through week, and although the prices could have been better, they weren't bad. We moved a lot of stuff that has just been sitting around doing nothing, so we moved a lot of stuff cheap. It was worth it just to get the stuff out of the house. This week is shaping up quite nicely as well.

My holiday Sunday closings were better then this yesterday's closings...most sold, but for opening bid price. We'll see what happens this week with my Halloween stuff up

Last couple of weeks have been very, very bad. Paying out more in fees than I'm selling. The summer was great compared to these last couple of weeks. Not sure whats going on.

things seem a little off.people are as usual though waiting until the end until bidding.
if it is just medium type stuff it is not getting alot of action.I think alot of it has to do with the fact that everyone thinks it is good now and starts to list.the summer was good for me to though.I hope this is just a short lull and not an ongoing thing.I have alot of middle of the road junk to move http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif

I think things are following the usual pattern for this time of year. The items I repeat every week slowed down considerably the last two weeks of August and Labor Day weekend, but are just beginning to perk up again with a surprising number of internatinal buyers. And it will be a slow increase until November when peak season arrives.
My collectible one-of-a-kind auctions did extremely well in both August, exceeding my hoped for results. Perhaps collectibles did better since there was far less competition than usual, and pent up demand.

I am pleased, sales typically are down the last few weeks of august so I tend not to run the good stuff!! Had a good close on a couple items last night and websales are increasing!!

well, I just finished running the numbers for july and august, and with less work on the items, we are up overall 25% for july and up just about 10% for august, with some time off....not a bad plan
although it appeared sell through wasn't that great, upon doing actual inventory, we sold 90% of all listed items over the course of the summer....
and now that we are back at it, questions are being asked again and bids are happening.
I never worry about bids, I just watch how many emails I answer in a day...
