What do you buy on ebay?

Question
It always amazes me the items that can be found on ebay.
But I just don't think of ebay first, on a regular basis.
I buy out of print books and videos that I can't find locally.
I buy CD's and DVD's if I can get a better price than I can get here.
I buy cherished teddies for DW's collection as I always get a much better price.
I bought some jewely as a surprise mainly as I had some paypal money to spend.
I just don't think of ebay when I shop for clothes, shoes, mainly as I can't imagine buying something without trying it on.

Answer
On an ongoing basis I buy....
Video games.
Water filters.
Printer cartridges.
Original paintings.
Toddler clothes.
I generally end up buying CDs and DVDs off of Amazon.com - usually ends up cheaper.
Lots of things I've bought as a one-off from ebay (jewelry box, digital camera, etc.) as well.

Collectibles. Things I can't find in local stores. Bargains on electronics.
But absolutely nothing from Power Sellers from south of the border.

Books, cat things, clothes & shoes - usually brands I know, makeup, things that I always forget to look for at the store... and on and on.

Answer
Makeup (I've gotten some nice buys on certain Estee Lauder products I use), small electronics, music cd's. I look on eBay for movies that I would like, but usually find that they sell for more than Amazon.
I've also been looking at cell phones, and am amazed that people will pay $300 on eBay for a phone that is $150 with a $50 rebate from Verizon.
I typically search for some Hall China items, but haven't bought anything in a long time.

It's probably because if they do that they have to sign up for Verizon service.
I have been with TMobile for the last couple years without a contract. If I ever switch to another service I won't sign a contract.
Also if you buy a phone from a company they lock it so you can only use it with their service. It's why you see so many unlocked phones for sale on Ebay.

Answer
Well, of course I buy records, although eBay is actually very competitive for rare items. You often get a better deal buying from local sellers.
However, I find eBay is good for computer stuff and golf clubs.
I'm looking to buy a new machine and a new driver in the next few months. I want to get a good deal on a Dell 400SC with at least a Pentium 2.4 and 512 megs, and there seem to be plenty offered. The club I'm looking for is a Wilson Deep Red; I'd like a 12 degree, 365 cc, but they are a little hard to find.
