I have over 1,000 prepped
I did 160 items yesterday, and some over 100.00 stuff too.
this year I am listing some stuff I wouldn't normally list, at very high (for me) starting prices, if they sell fine, if they don't so what, I will put them back in my real store, and maybe stick them in my ebay store for a few months.
I am going to save a frigging fortune on fees.
Free you say....give me an XLARGE......

Yeah, Gabsy, I'm gettin' there too! My big dilemma at the moment is whether I should run down to the Ebay building and pack up all the orders that came in since Friday (how the heck did all those people have time to shop???). Then I can have it all ready for UPS guy tomorrow, so if FLD is tomorrow I won't have to spend any time packing. OR, watch the football game (Steelers vs Ravens) as I have been looking forward to doing. OR try to create more listings. Decisions, decisions.
I have all my store listings converted in Turbo Lister into Fixed Price Listings. I'll upload from TL in the wee hours of the a.m. since timing doesn't matter so much with fixed-price listings. Intend to put the stores on vacation during the week following FLD and reopen stores and delete sold items when FLD run ends.
I have another hundred or two prepped in Auction Tamer, my absolute favorite listing creator program, but it's sooooooo slow to list. I can't effectively put more into there and hope they make it up on FLD. I may consider uploading them as store items, importing into TL, and following scenario above, and then trying to cram more into Auction Tamer. I do have some prepped in AT that I intend to run as regular auctions.
I'm trying a big mix of items too. Last FLD I spent a lot of time aiming for two categories which I don't think was all that effective, and required a lot of work afterwards to delete the second category when I wanted to relist the item. On some I forgot, ouch!
FLDs have always been great for me, and I always appreciate it when Ebay offers one. It's definitely worth the prep work.

I got my ebay building built this fall (12 x 16, miniscule compared to some's I know!). I built it right next to my deck so I can walk across to it. and some day will enclose the deck. but at the moment there is a two foot deep drift of snow in front of the door

I wouldn't worry yourself. I think it's a Canadian thing that dates back to pre-Christian festivals.
Dancing naked in the snow, covering your body with Moose fat, breaking a hole in the ice for swimming and that kind of stuff.
It's reportedly a lot of fun if you drink heavily but nothing most of us actual want to do or even see.
Being in the dark and snowbound for several months seem to be a prerequisite.
I've visited these people during their two week summer season and they seem almost normal which makes this behavior even harder to understand.
Personally I've found getting crazy with the natives to be more fun in the Caribbean.

LOL Mel, if I had a TV in here I'd never get anything done.
Our Ebay building is about 2 miles from here. We got such a good deal, we couldn't have built one as cheap as we bought this. It will ultimately turn out to be my best Ebay investment of all, I'm sure!
I've decided I'm gonna go and pack, and listen to the first quarter or so of the game on the radio.
Oh, the sacrifices I make for Ebay lol.

Y'know, so long as all of these thousands of auctions are all loaded in Turbo Listers around the world, if they announced that they won't have a free listing day, everyone would have to list in order to justify all the work they put into this, and Ebay would get a windfall.....
Making EVIL suggestions, Kevin (who is past caring about FLD, and just trying to make Ebay a slightly more workable pile of crap until I walk away from it - I am not even going to reduce listing for FLD this year)
