Royal EX-310 Scale

Question
A little over a year ago several of us got a good deal on a Royal 40-lb shipping scale at Sams. It's been great. I was wandering around the store today and spotted another Royal Digital Shipping Scale that handles up tp 310 lbs at a great price for anyone that needs one. At Sam's it is $49.97. Following is a link to the Royal Site that shows it for $99.99.

Was that the scale that interfaced with your computer or someone else's? I vaguely remember the thread.

Hi, Blondie. The Royal-40 had software that you loaded on your computer to go get all the shipping information for USPS, Ups, FedEx and Airborne. That enabled downloading it to the scale itself through the UBC connection. All the cables came with it, etc. It can be updated as the information changes. The scale will calculate everything for you if you want it to. Like the prompts for USPS includes a COD function, insurance, international, certified, return receipt, etc. The weight can be displayed in lb./oz., metric. Also has a TARE function where you can weight the object, hold the weight and then place the packing material on to come to a total before the object is actually boxed up. I actually only use it for weight since I use the USPS shipping assistant software to do the label with barcode and DC. But it would be great to use otherwise if I didn't do that. It functions from batteries or an AC adapter (included).
The EX-310 does not have downloadable information from the Web. It is for weighing with a digial display away from the machine so it is not obscured by the package. It does have the TARE function. Hope that helps.

If you really want one I can buy it for you at Sam's and ship it to you. It says the weight is 7 lbs. so If I package it properly to cushion it should be a shipping weight of 9/10 lbs. maximum. You can e-mail me at loveofpast AT aol.com if you decide you want one. Texas Sales Tax is 8-1/4%. I live close to Sam's so it's no problem. Don't know how many they have in stock. I know when I got the Royal-40 I got the last one that was in stock and then went back and got the display one for another here member. It didn't have the manual with it but I copied my manual for her.
