imosh - have you ever been to a Post Office?
Answer
On one of the morning shows today they had a story about Christmas mailing. A PO rep talked about the new flat rate priority boxes - only $7.70 to "make sure your package gets there on time". Anyone want to tell me how a flat rate box will get there any quicker than a regular priority box? LOL!
Answer
Not to mention there's no regular delivery Sat the 25th.
Answer
Yeah, I've had 1st class and priority packages take a week and longer lately. It's been very weird. Some have arrived in 2 days, some took 9 and 10. So I just don't believe the 22nd will be there by Christmas consistantly!
Answer
Since Thanksgiving, our Postal service has slowed to a crawl and been worse than I've ever seen it! And it seems like the closer the destination is to us, the longer it's taking!
I'm getting a ton of emails a day from buyers wanting to know where their packages are. One in particular has emailed me EVERY day since the 6th with one line: "Dec. (fill in date). Still not here."
No way would I take a chance and wait until the 22nd to mail a package needed by Christmas!
Answer
I'm still sewing orders for Christmas..
I have 13 items in 3 orders to get done & shipped out.. *crossfingers* I'm cutting off Monday the 20th - and apologizing to anyone I don't get done & shipped out by then.

Hi Maria:
Believe me, I can imagine.
That is something I've often recognized but never quite understood – how a company or business or industry can spend millions and millions of dollars on cookie cutter facilities all carefully designed and built to exacting specifications and then deliver the worst experience possible to the people who wish to be customers.
Whether it is USPS, Office Depot, Home Depot, (or ANY of the "Depots") Wal*Mart, McDonald's or any other place – the problem always seems to be that there is 30 seconds of shopping and 30 minutes of checking out.
No wonder so many people do everything online.
These places always spend so such on their physical facilities and then get cheap when it comes to management and staff.

Hey shrty411! I was a window clerk for 15 years and hated almost every day of it. Along with being a window clerk I was responsible for a lot of the office's finances, ordering all supplies for the entire office, keeping track of all permits, filing all tracers and insurance claims, instructing bulk permit holders, weekly inventory and order of shipping supplies, making out the stamp orders, organizing community events like kids coloring contests and even answering the Dear Santa letters. I finally quit after one day when our new postmaster came up to the window and interrupted me mid-sentence while I was waiting on a customer to tell me to find out where to order new support bands for the carriers' hampers. Customer satisfaction was not and never will be a high priority with the USPS!
