Question
Getting this typed up, need a little help please
This is called "cold painted" isn't it as well as hand painted? It's got enough of the sticker left on the bottom to tell it is Lefton. I searched and didn't find one quite like it-close, but not quite.
Any help appreciated in how to describe it to the best of it's ability .

Answer
I sold a set of them a while back for about $15.
I know nothing about their market worth in today's ebay.
But I see them frequently enough to know they are not rare.
I'd put it up for $5 and see what happens.
Answer
Thanks snakey. I only paid .50 for it last year so hopefully it should make a little and get it out of my house
Answer
I think that the red paint was cold-painted on (meaning it was painted on after the piece was fired). That's why the red always chips off. Something about the red made it different and it couldn't be fired on. Other colors will be solid and washable but cold-painted areas are terrible if they get dirty. I once rinsed a lamp really quick and the paint just ran off!

My mother did a set of these when I was little. The face detail is china painted.
