Question
This was posted on a Sparedollar thread by lotsofjoy; it is so useful I thought I'd share it with ya'll!
http://www.packtrack.com
It shows you status, delivery time, and even a COPY of the signature if available. and it works with tracking numbers from all the major carriers!
What a time saver! It even stores the #'s for you in case you need to look them up again if your package hasn't been delivered yet.
Answer
Thank You for the information.
Answer
Google offers tracking of UPS, USPS, and FedEx packages through their search engine service:
http://www.google.com/help/features.html#number
If you have a email template you send customers, you can give buyers a short URL:
http://google.com/search?q=[TN]
[TN] is the template field for tracking number.
I started doing this because we ship both USPS and UPS and providing a tracking number got difficult. 1) the URLs were too long making them non-clickable. 2) different links for different services.
PackTrack seems useful, but overkill for what most of use.
