Has anyone encountered trouble sending email to aol addresses?
I have had 2 problems in the last week (one leading to a neg, grr)
I am receiving the email from the bidders and SOME of email (the replies) go through. I suspect it may have to do with the HTML formatted invoice I send for the buyer's total.
Does AOL block HTML in email? Seems farfetched but can't think of anything else.

Never had any problems with AOL but seem to have problems with Web TV and Hotmail accounts...Web TV comes back as undeliverable but the email was delivered. http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_razz.gif

I too have had problems with sending end of auction emails from yahoo mail to aol addresses.
Quite a bit.
I don't know why.

I'm on AOL and as far as I know we are getting everything we should be. AOL does not block HTML.

Thanks very much although there doesn't seem to be a definative answer.I think my ISP: Bell Sympatico in Canada is having a bad hair day: I now can't access Paypal site at all and no how.
Does anyone know how to get a neg removed? The buyer is a.. well
the negative read that I hadn't answered 2 emails so no sale.
He then writes screed FROM A DIFFERENT ADDRESS THAN IS LISTED ON EBAY. At any rate, his widget is on it's way he's happy and I have a bid stupid red neg (have not left any feedback for him). Can I get rid of it

About 2 weeks ago, maybe 3, AOL did a big change to try to stop spam. Email from Ebay was even getting rejected. (When I tried to use ebay's "tell a friend" feature the email came back to me as being rejected, no relays allowed. I started a topic on this on the "community board" or whatever it is called and found out about the spam blocker.
My friends that use AOL were not getting my messages. What a mess. I did create a yahoo account and those messages seemed to go through OK. I kept the subject line simple, ebay and auction item, no numbers.
So maybe if you contacted ebay and since it is an AOL address and they had the trouble they *might* be inclined to help you on this one. Maybe the bidder can contact them too? If nothing else you can respond to the negative feedback.
4 of my 5 negatives out of 6760 feedback are for "no contact" too, which, of course I tried to contact, why sell if you don't contact the winner?

I have not noticed any problems but one thing I do is if I've not heard back from the bidder with in 48 hrs (typically 95% respond back) I send an ebay invoice using the ebay system. This makes a record of it when they log in to the page.

If you are sending any email to AOL with re: in the subject it won't go through. re: was used so much with these dang viruses that AOL put that into its filter for time being.
So if you respond to an email from someone on AOL make sure there is for re: or details or order etc. My brother has AOL so I kept sending him emails in different formats to see what made it and what didn't.

Yes, I didn't get 2 orders from half.com last week.Thankfully I saw the orders on their site. There is also a notice there asking me for my new email address which of course, there isn't any NEW one.
This week I notice when I open my email sometimes the top one or 2 suddenly dissappear. Hopefully, it is just spam but it does make me mad in case it could have been something important.
They must be tweaking their system now that they have 9.0 coming out!

Thanks so much! Of course now I am having trouble contacting the bidder in question but will enlist his help once he has received said widget.
But what I need to know is what eBay email address (or new fangled eBay madness) I use to start the process.
I have had negs before for no good reason however this one is just so silly I am willing to go to some trouble to get rid of it.
