Question
I'd really tapered off on my buying, but with the holidays nearing, I've started to buy more items recently.
Between the log in problems and the sudden Active X controls (which I have blocked thanks to Blanche) on every page the entire thing is majorly annoying and a slow process compared to other sites.
I prefer to use PP and pay with a credit card (I keep track of my purchases that way, and don't carry a balance so it works great for me) - but 3 out of the last 4 purchases had the PP logo and all the CC cards shown in the listing, but the seller doesn't accept credit card payments. No mention of it in the listing. If I have to "ask seller a question" to find out - I'm not interested, but there doesn't seem any way around it.
The easy click to pay from MyEbay has determined (every other day), that my address is NOT verified...although it is on Paypal. So paying from there is out, and I need to go to Paypal, also very slow.
2 sellers who innundated me with payment emails after the auction and were paid within 2 hours of the end of the auction both sent emails telling me they would "let me know when your item is shipped" - it's been 3 days or so now, and...they haven't. The last "new and freshly dry cleaned" item (a suit!) I purchased arrived tightly folded into an 8 x 8 bundle which was wrapped in a brown paper bag for shipping.
I've bought a lot on Ebay (1500+ transactions, with probably 75% from buying) and I'm hoping I've just hit a bad patch, but I'm really discouraged right about now!

okay anyway - I really hate to see good buyers getting fed up and going somewhere else. I hardly ever even list any "items" on eBay anymore ... and when I do, I just don't know what is going to sell so I quit trying
