Question
Paypal says there is a $2000 limit on sending funds if you are not verified. They say to see your limit you can look on the overview page under "view limit" .I am not verified and I cannnot find anyplace in my account overview where it says view limit. I am sure that in my 4 1/2 years with Paypal I have passed that $2000 limit ages ago. So how do I find out what my limit is and how much of it I might have left? I hate to ask them, they might see they have made an error and fix it.
Answer
That's a daily limit, not a total of your history.
To see mine, there is a link to the right next to my Account Balance on the Overview page....the first page that loads after you log into your account.
Answer
Thanks. Where I read in the user agreement, linked to from their help page, it said that the sending limit for unverified accounts is $2000 over the life of the account but I was sure I would have reached that amount. I guess they meant a $2000 per day sending limit over the ife of the account. They were not at all clear. At least where I found it.
I do not have a link next to my account balance on that page. I looked and looked and cannot find anything at all that shows me that info.
Answer
Rawbunzel, my unverified account had a $2000 limit. When I reached it, PP wouldn't let me continue without making it a verified account. So I just moved right over to dh's unverified account and continued spending.
In fact I had two dollars left in mine. I tried to close it and must have been partly successful because I can't get my two bucks back. I even called them and they told me I had to make the account verified to get into it and then close it. I told them if I wanted to make it verified, I'd have done that to begin with. I'm actually thinking of writing the State's AG and asking naively how the heck I get my money back.
Answer
but you should be able to open a freebie bank account someplace and use that for verification purposes.
You can even close the account once the verification isdone, I don't think they check it on an ongoing basis.
Answer
I'll probably do that, Katiyana. But I'm refinancing my construction loan and don't want an extra account to pop up right now, particularly one that might be victimized by PP.
Answer
Sorry for the misinformation rawbunzel, I just checked my verified account and saw it said daily limit...I never realized until this thread that there was a sending limit. Thanks for the info everyone.
