Question
Friday morning I returned a purchase to a department store. They credited the purchase price to My paypal card (the card I had used to purchase the item) . I also purchased some other items (this was a seperate transaction) at the same store, using the same paypal card as a credit card.
Neither of these transactions have shown up on my paypal log. I currently have enough money in my account to cover the charge, in case it goes in first, but am concerned that neither of the transactions are showing up. I am afraid to use the funds in my account in case the charge goes through before the refund shows up.
Has this ever happened to anyone else??

No answers but I agree it is strange.
The new charges should appear immediatly as they check the availability of funds before approving the payment accepted against your debit card. It might only show as pending but it still should show.
The credit might take longer to appear. I would not count on the credit to be available to cover the purchase.

Sandy,when the card was swipped at the store,the amount was approved at paypal,the information was stored in the credit card machine and cant be collected until someone at the store releases or "sends the information on to the card center.Its like holding a bunch of checks and depositing them all at one time.(already approved)The bookkeeper for the store is probally in charge of sending the charges in.
Is that what you meant?

I've noticed the same thing. Some charges are there instantly, like when DW purchases gas on her way home, I can see it immediatly.
Other instances, I return home from a purchase, check my PayPal account, and its not showing for another day, in one case, several days.

You'er welcome.I had my own credit card machine,like the service station,I sent my info in right away,next day "money" in the bank.

I keep close tabs on my paypal account and this is the first time I have noticed a delay. Maybe the store as changed the way they submit.
