Question
I don't know if it's just me or not....
For the past 24 hrs. the ONLY keyword banners or text box ads I've seen are for eBay or one of their corporate advertisers like Mastercard and 7UP. The 7UP ads have made up 99% of all the banners I've seen!
It wouldn't bother me so bad, but I put funds in for an ad last night and today I get an email telling me my funds are spent. I find this hard to believe, because I haven't seen one single ad for ANY individual eBay sellers.
I also got an email telling me my campaign funds were spent on our second user ID, which is not even listing anything right now and hasn't had a 'campaign' in over six months!
Just wondering if anyone else had noticed anything.
Answer
Not Me
I don't pay attention to them very much anymore.
if you go back and look in the CLUB99 forum I posted on this sometime last year I think - (or maybe just earlier this year)
Anyway I set mine up during the $50 free promo and my ads actually did come up occassionally (had the keywords set for my niche as well as CLUB99 during events), but yes they are HEAVILY stacked with eBay and eBay sponsor ads, in every category. And you can also run into the problem that your competitors will click you repeatedly to bump and use up your max cost-per-click.
(in other words, the program is useless for us small-biz sellers)
I'll look up the thread if I can find it, I do remember someone also saying that your own banner wouldn't show up for you every rotation, but I dont recall if it was a cache thing or a setup in the program ... The deal with yours being used up from your other account though, I don't know what would cause that.
Sorry you're disappointed with your results!
