Triumphant "Sunday" :)

Question
Well, after reading gabs good week thread I looked for the triumphant tuesday thread. ................
Coudn't find so I decided to start a Tiumphant Sunday thread to pump us up for the new week starting. Kids are getting back to school and ebay is picking up for me!!
I tossed up a few items before I left cuz it drives me crazy not to have something listed and was very very pleased with ending prices.
Jello Kewpie Doll recipe book
1913 Yeast recipe book
How did the rest of you do?
When is that listing contest starting?? I can never keep up with the volume y'all do but I love to read the thread. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif

Have a good vacation?

Answer
Hi Larry,
thanks!
I too was surprised but I think it may of been the litho's in it. I had an older one, 1910, with no lithos and it did not get a bid http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif

nothing to report, but had a good week even with the outage and lost quite a few of my local ontario and new york bidders who snipe at the last minute on a few things....I told them to find a sniping software company out of the west http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif

My great week was because of BINs. I lowered several starting prices, increased bins prices and slapped up just to get them gone. Imagine my surprise when people starting Bin - ing them before I even got finished listing them.
cleared out lots of old inventory this week.. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif

G'day,
My highs for the last couple of weeks:
A cabinet photograph, best I have had of this genre.
Best stereoview price, I have seen 3 of this view listed in the last 3 months all with 19.99 and 24.99 starting prices - and all sold with one bid. I still think that the 99 cent looks like a retail price, and people think it is it's full value. Anyone else have thoughts on that?
Best postcard price - New Caledonia and Tahiti seem to be hot at the moment if anyone has anything from those areas.
An Australian Handy Oiler tin - this brand is hot in Australia, but all brands of older handy oilers are worth checking.
And, a perfume bottle I picked up helping a friend with a house clearance (with permission) - I didn't have a clue what it was worth.
Cheers, Kevin

By the way, any hints for selecting advertising recipe books? I listed 9 a few weeks ago and only got one away. I have just picked up an estate lot of about 150 (1910's to 1960's) which I really don't want to list for a 10% clearance (influenced possibly by minimum viable listing price of $8.00).
Cheers, Kevin

Still waiting for Larry to crow............. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif
Kept2much,
LOL!, some of those have some bizarre recipes!!
fullhouse,
I love that bin option too, I relisted a few items that did not sell last week with bin and boom! Sold 3 in just a few hours!!
Kevin,
Great!! I was also watching all those auto race programs you had a week or so ago, those were amazing prices!!
as for the recipe advertisments,
I look for great lithographs and take lots of pictures. The early part of the 1900's and any late 1800's seem to bring the best money of course.I really think the key for me is taking all the pics and then the offer of free shipping with 3 or more. I have several more of these closing today and a few bidding wars going on. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif
Subject matter is important too, the Jello/kewpie Doll, I place in the Rosie Oneil Kewpie Doll category.
as always it seems to be the luck of the draw and who is looking that week! http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif
