Need UPS Live Person Phone # right away- Help !!!!

I need help fast on this one people.
Going on 2 week trip out of state, and old laptop died, so bid on a couple and finally after two days, from one that had bye it now, and use that and paid right away with paypal on the 10th of oct. I did email seller several times with questions before buying and telling if I purchased it I need it shipped right away, and seller said ok.
On 12th of oct received notice from usp with tracking numbers and said it would be delivered on 19th....which was close but ok... needed to put several programs on laptop so I could use it for work while I was gone, but could be loading programs as I was doing my last minute packing.
Check on the 13th and 14th on progress of shipment on usp site, and everything ok.
Now tonight I check on site again, and find that delivery date has changed to 20th of Oct. 2004. I just can't believe my eyes, and I leave on a flight at 4:00am on Oct 20, 2004, so I won't even be in my state when usp starts delivering items on the 20th. I have tried on usp site to find live phone numbers to talk to them, to see what can be done, but can't find any. They has a email thing to send to them with questions, but you need the seller address and zipcode and I don;t have that, only there city, and state. I email to seller what was happening and asked for there address, and told them what was happening, and also if they had a phone number were they shipped it from. So far nothing from the seller.
I am so upset about all of this.
Can any one help me with phone numbers or what I can do. Really need help from you all on this one group.

OK, first of all....
I don't understand your post here. What do you mean by "USP"? Does that mean USPS (United States Postal Service) or is it typo and you mean UPS (United Parcel Service)?
Let's clear this up and we can go from there. OK?

Here's the info for UPS.

On the start page (www.ups.com) click the "Contact UPS" button for a list of toll-free numbers.

You can also submit a Delivery Change Request, which will either hold the package until you pick it up, or deliver it to another address (there's a charge for that). Instructions from the website:
Delivery Change Request Instructions
  1. From the UPS.com homepage, select Tracking.
  2. Enter a UPS InfoNotice Number in the Tracking Number field.
  3. Select the Track button below the New Tracking Numbers input fields.
  4. Select the Detail button on the Tracking Summary page.
  5. Choose the Delivery Change Request button on the Tracking Detail page.
  6. Select a Change Delivery option and complete the associated form.

Problem, all phone numbers on link are not to live person.
Problem, UPS changed delivery date, not me or seller that shipped it.
Problem, I am going back across country, and will be traveling to many states in the 2 weeks, so no way for package to caught up with me.
Problem new delivery date is 4 plus hours after my plane takes off from area this is now schedule to be delivered do to UPS change.
Hope this clear this up a little more.
I think I spell UPS right everywere this time also !

I always call 1-800-742-5877
It's automated to begin with, and I can't remember which numbers, but keep with the system until you get a live person. I don't think there is a direct number to a live person that actually answers the phone right away.
Of course, I could be wrong about that.

You can get a live person at UPS if you dial the 1-800-742-5877 pickup line. You have to click through the recordings, but you eventually get a real person. Try choosing 0 (zero) that sometimes gets you an operator.
When you find a real person, they can check dispatch and find the stops. It's possible that you can pick it up enroute.

Did get a live person at UPS, but really no help for this problem.
Was told that I could tell seller to send me another one quickest way they could UPS, (not going to happen, not another laptop) and then send the first one back when it comes.
UPS can't tell me what kind of delivery signature is needed, just anyone or could I leave a note with my signature to leave at neighbors that will sign for it. So isnt' this just great. If it has the wrong sticker on it, they will leave notice and then, with no one here for a couple of weeks, will keep coming back and finally if time is up before I get back will go back to seller, and then we have to start all over again.
O' yes the place the seller told this package to be shipped UPS shipping place send in information for shipping to UPS, but didn't schedule pickup for 2 days later, so that is why the change in delivery date. Can't get a phone number to that place either to talk to them.
Isn't life grand !

Looks like I have to purchase a new laptop local, and spend a lot of money that I really don't have.

Sorry about the laptop mishap.
Maybe you can rent a laptop for use during your trip. I once rented one and was happy to return it when I returned. I never could get adjusted to the smaller keyboard.
