Question
Total vent coming......
I have had a total of 2 negs for over 7000 plus feed backs since 1998. Now all of a sudden new bidders seem to think that is the thing to do with out trying anything else.
The first two were from a bidder that never paid me from this summer and claimed I never answered her emails. Now she writes me after I negged her back and opened up a file with square trade saying "ah gee I am sorry, I wrote wrong seller" and wants to still buy the items.
The other one I saw this morning that says "see previous comment"
Huh? I answered her emails, received her check and sent her product on the 5th! Is she claiming I didn't answer her emails? I pulled her contact and guess what, her phone number is wrong!!
I am getting more and more emails asking for totals and address after I have sent an end of auction email. I am beginning to think I need to send Ebay's invoice at the same time in the hopes that they get something!

Answer
contact ebay about the wrong contact info
forget the square trade thing
and move on.....
sorry this happened to you,, but no one will notice it
Answer to feedback......
Must be a full moon-all the crazy's are out!!
just kidding
Answer
I always thought the system was wrong. A NPB should not be allowed to leave feedback, nor a dispute person for that matter that hasn't paid either.
Wait it out, they go off the screen soon enough. I used to put more up on ebay so I could get them off the map faster.. I have my share of retailitory feedbacks...I'm still alive.
Wish you the best with this.

Yeah, sure...I wish
Answer
If the freak of the week bidder opened the SwearTrod BS sesson, you may as well participate. Let them know the feedback must be removed from your file before you'll play nice (as part of your conditions for settlement).
If a user is NARU, you may get somewhere getting negs removed. Buy lottsa popcorn and dig-in, 'cause that's an uphill battle. I have gotten 1 removed, so it is possible. It soooooooooo depends on who ya get at customer dis-service.
Good luck darlin'!

- they don't remove negs for that now, they have in the past.
Answer
G'day Sherry,
One impression that I get from Ebay, is that buyers panic when they see a neg left on someone that they are buying from. In this way, one neg will breed several more, because, as an example, if the mail is running slow - the buyer suddenly thinks that they have been ripped off, and instead of contacting just follow up with another neg. It is not good or sound logic, it is simply an observation of what happens somewhat regularly.
I am getting more and more emails asking for totals and address after I have sent an end of auction email.
This is becoming a real problem for me. I don't know how many emails are not getting through, and then half of them write back and say "Sorry I didn't see that you had already emailed me". I had one buyer of five lots recently send me five emails because he believed that he was required to send an email for every auction "by Ebay's rules". People now seem to be responding to Ebay's EOA's before looking to see whether the other party has made contact (I encounter this with sellers as well), and Ebay's myriad of rules only adds to the confusion. I unrealistically long for the day when Ebay (or somebody) just goes back to be a very simple straightforward market place - but I know it will never happen.
I always thought the system was wrong. A NPB should not be allowed to leave feedback, nor a dispute person for that matter that hasn't paid either.
I also have problems with this idea. While I understand you intent, Empires, this would leave the door open for sellers who can see a dispute becoming nasty to just file an NPB against the buyer, even when they have already paid, in order to stop the Neg being placed..
Good luck, Kevin
Answer
They should never let deadbeats leave negative feedback. And I just had to file NPBs on five bidders for some $50 worth of product. That's in the last three weeks.
