Question
I've come across a pack of Bill Ward prints (6 half tone plates) issued by a NYgallery in the 60's (?).
The prints are still sealed in the orig package (11" x 20").
So, if I open it, break the seal, do I lose value?
Or can I just open it and sell the prints one by one?
Please and Thank you.
Answer
Bill Ward of Mad Magazine? or who? Sounds like a portfolio of past. Any pics of the outside or is it just a white envelope?
If your going to sell them as single plates then open it. Otherwise, as a package you'll do better. This is likely the Bill Ward you mean.

Answer
That's him.
There is a pic/print on the envelope, along with the name of the gallery.
I'm not going to open it if it's worth more sealed.
Answer
I'd leave it sealed if it was mine -

So it seems an here local won the auction.
Was just wondering if the envelope was opened, what was inside?
Answer
well, we certanly have a happy little perv running around here
he jsut can't decide how to frame them
and I want to put them in his living room or the rec room and he wants to hide them in the downstairs bathroom....no one ever goes down there.
so here we go.....it will take a year for us to argue this one out.
Very nice prints, BTW....excellent.
Answer
