eBay Live Rumor - "eBay Listens Program"

eBay Discussion Boards are reporting a rumor that a new program will shortly be announced at the eBay Live Convention.
Users have long complained that eBay does not listen.
Individuals sending emails about a specific issues often get answers from a rotating sets of cut and paste replies on unrelated topics from the robot auto-respond system.
Groups of users from the category areas such as "Books" or "Glass" feel their suggestions and expressed concerns are not heard as is clearly demonstrated by reading the category specific eBay Discussion Boards.
The rumored program, "eBay Listens", will provide an opportunity for all users to be heard.
The fee schedule is structured so that individuals with a single concern can be heard by an identified staff member and receive email confirmation summarizing their issue.
Payment can be made by having the charges added to their seller account or, in the case of non-seller, paid through PayPal.
Sellers will also have the option of monthly subscriptions which will allow them blocks of "listening" time at various fixed fees. Twenty minutes for $20.00, fifty minutes for $38.00 etc.
Features such as being listened to by a supervisor will also be available at additional fees.
Some arrangement for groups of sellers to express joint concerns is anticipated but specific information is not presently available.
The program will be launched with a promotion offering 50% off for purchases made within 10 days of the eBay Live Convention.
This is a welcomed example of eBay working with it's Community for a better marketplace.

I can not even comprehend how anyone can welcome having to pay to talk to a customer rep. Sheesh, what else can they charge us for? Page views? Per bid recieved?

Next year they will announce an update to the "Ebay listens" program....for an added fee they will actually do something in response to the customer's complaint (the fee will be millions of dollars to affect any change to item specifics...but ebay management figures large groups of members can band together to fund changes)
