I have several email addresses. the one ebay has currently for sending me notices is having problems. I want to change it to another email account so I can receive email. When I go to make the change ebay says the email address is already taken because it was one I had used previous to getting the new email account that is now not working. I have tried several times and I get the same message. How can I change it to an existing email address that ebay already has a record of? Make sense? I am unable to view any email from the old address and this is not good because I have 50 auctions up! Help!

Michelle, is it possible that the e-mail address is already associated with another old eBay ID that you have?

No I have only had this one user id. I did finally figure out how to fix my email address on my server and got 26 emails waiting for me! I still would like to know how I can change it on ebay without getting a totally new one. I don't know why they have to make everything so difficult!

I ran into this a couple of months ago. Once an id is associated with an email address, that address can never be associated with a different id.
