Im glad I found this message board, I've been searching all night and this looks like the place for answers. Anyway on to my story...
I received indefinate suspension notice from Ebay because of a few neutrals and couple of negatives recently, from a buy it now auction which I sold to about 200 different people. The people who left negs or neutrals did not bother to read the WHOLE auction! Now keep in mind...none of these people ever asked me for refunds. NOR will these people respond to my polite email offers for refunds.
Ebay has told me that I have to show proof of refunds, OR get good followup feedback from these idiots. And that's the only way I get my accounts back. And these customers, about 10 or so of them, out of about 200, only 1 has responded to me and I gave them a refund.
What in the he!! does ebay expect me to do? Their computerized response forms don't answer my questions and suggest I use squaretrade.....what...so I can blow money using squaretrade over $10-$100 worth of stuff? and even then, if the buyers won't respond to me, or return my calls, what makes me think squaretrade would do any good?
I have repeated told Ebay I would have given refunds had i been asked. did that matter? he!! no.
This is total bullcrap and I am fuming mad, because Ebay has been a huge chunk of my income in the last year. They have totally screwed me over, and I can't get a decent answer out of them.
I am almost on the verge of trying to pull off a new account. but i'm scared i'll get forever banned.
1. What can i do to get ebay to give me back my account? nothing probably, but maybe one of you can help?
2. If i do try to pull off another account, I know I would at least need different credit card, bank account and address. YES, I would probably actually move across town to pull this off, i have no willing relatives, they are all E-tards who don't trust the internet with their credit cards.
So lets see, if i:
1. move to across town.
2. get a new bank account with a different bank
3. new credit card
Could they possibly catch me? the only things that would be the same are my City and Name. Even my internet IP would change obviously. So could they possibly in a million years catch me if I did all that? What about social security # checks and all, can they secretly get that info from your bank?
Gah, I need some direction here. I'm really fuming mad! and don't know what to do.
The E-tards at SafeHarbor are no help, ever. As I'm sure many of you can vouch for.
ps- the one thing that angers me the most is that Ebay has told me I must resolve these issues with the buyers. but the buyers won't respond to my emails or calls. it's like a catch 22, or something to that effect. Do i refund 1000's of $'s of money and lose the merchandise? um, no... also, I deliever exactly what I say I will. and people don't read the whole auctions. bah!
So if any of you can lend a hand, I am open to any and all sound advice!

An ebay id would help us understand what problems you've run into. It's hard to understand exactly what's happening since I've seen several sellers with absolutely awful feedback. Are you being accused of fraud?

well quite frankly its not that im scared of you in particular, but i really dont want to 'broadcast' that i want to sneak around ebay's BS system publically. But i will attempt to explain exactly what happened:
I am a collectables dealer.
I set up an auction where I would sell a few thousand small collectible items, worth about 5 cents up to $50 each for a flat buy it now rate of $2.50 each, and they would be randomly, blindly, selected for each bid. I had about, oh, 95.something% positive when i got banned. i got banned when i got 2 negatives plus about 3 or 4 neutral's of which they were complaining because they got a stinky selection because they thought they would get ALL $50 items for $2.50 each when they bought a lot of 100. yeah, okay! ; where as the auction clearly said you could get a really great draw or a poor draw. and that was the truth, i did it just like i said. Some people were ecstatic, and only a few called me a 'rip off'.
Keep in mind, the whiners never asked me for a refund, which I would have given them without hesitation.
Ebay now insists I must show proof of refunds or followup feedback showing the problems are resolved, but i have only been able to reach and give a refund to ONE person. This has been going on for a good solid month now. Still no response from customers after politely suggesting a refund.
Still, ebay ingores my plea that the customer's wont respond to me. They just keep sending me the same boring computer generated letters saying the same thing "resolve the issues" "you can use squaretrade if you have to". Yeah, right, whatever! Some of these people bout 100's of items of which I can't lose my merchandise AND $
Oh, and keep in mind, the items I sent out were truley as described,
and I was suspended for "mis-representation" because a couple of neg's called me a 'ripoff' or something to that effect.
It's getting to the point where it's got me so stressed I'm just ready to sneak around their stupid system. Ya know.

Commentary, this guy may not be running a most kosher auction, but it is an allowed auction on ebay.....they let people keep selling those website links to phones for 500.00+ dollars, and those empty boxes for playstaiton, etc.......
so there is nothing wrong with this guys auctions, just because we wouldn't do it.....
and this is WHY I wouldn't do it, I would be in this boat right now.
Now I have a question...........

If this is your opinion, does the money you losing by not being able to sell seem worth it ...........calculate that all out, then answer the question
maybe 100.00 invested in Square trade will prove to ebay that these people are unreasonable in your opinion.
But, let me tell you.......I negged a guy because he sold me bubble gum machine quality rings as medium priced costume jewelry rings, his pic didn't match what he sent me, inventory didn't match the description, his shipping was inflated, etc....he got naru'd as well...........and he went through Square trade, and all I said was NO....NO....NO.....NO........NO WAY in heck was I removing that neg from him, ...........and he got back on eventually, some how, so stick with it, me thinks if you pad enough pockets you can get back on, but be careful in the future, they will be watching you.

This one is a little different. He is not shipping the same item to each winning bidder. It is a random pick where there is a wide range of value. Thus, it is more like a lottery. Website links and empty boxes are the same for each bidder.
If eBay allows this, we can all be running lotteries on eBay. Like one bidder gets a Rolex watch and all the other bidders get a jpeg of the watch.

It sounds similar to those wholesale dvd sellers who will sell you 500 dvds, but most are worthless pieces of turds It's legal that way, so why wouldn't it be legal this way? It's a chance the bidders are taking. It's also why you'll never find me bidding-I KNOW I'd end up with poooooo

give everyone that left you a negative a refund get screenshots or copies of the emails themselves and forward the email including the headers to ebay. They will reinstate you inside of a week.
i am not sure about the new account route, but it would probably have to be set up in your spouse's name.
