Is a PO Box illegal on ebay? User NARUed

Question
Greetings:
Anyone know if it is illegal to use a po box as your address on ebay? I'd be surprised to find out that it was.
The seller of this auction had a bunch of very high dollar auctions end recent ($100,000) and has been NARUed. He has a decent feedback record before this all began. I can understand that he wants cash, money orders, etc....so that he doesn't lose fees to paypal.
His terms are clearly stated in the auctions....I'd ask why bid if you don't like the terms but then we all know that terms usually don't get read.
Any body have any insite or opinion on this?

DH is asking me what I think .... and what I think by looking at ebay is that he may have gotten NARUed because of a competitor.
Wish we had a way to find out what the story behind this one is.

Answer
No - P.O. Boxes are fine. Must have been naru for something else.

Answer
almost a quarantee that he was naru'd because someone complained about his po box only no cod and high cost issues
will only be reinstated after he proves he has possession of or access to all items sold
same old story
another thing is to have three negs like this in this short a time also almost guarantees a naru no matter what the issue is

Answer
Reads like a "vigilante" ambush to me. All three of those bidders who left the neg's have bid on $10,000 to $11,000 worth of auctions from this seller. All three auctions that the neg's are from finished within one hour of each other, and within two day's of the neg's being given. How to destroy a person's livelihood and reputation in minutes!
He has a decent feedback record before this all began. I can understand that he wants cash, money orders, etc....so that he doesn't lose fees to paypal. Payment
Money Order / Cashier's Check, Personal Check He has not requested cash.... the second neg actually accuses him of not accepting cash.
By the standards raised by these three vigilantes I am running a scam. I do not accept PayPal under any circumstance, I do accept checks and money orders from most countries, and, so that the payments are less likely to be lost or stolen, I use a Post Office Box. The fact that the guy does accept checks, suggests (to me at least) that he is not running a scam - I get wary of those who only accept money orders, because it becomes virtually untraceable as to who the other party really is, whether they cashed the payment, or where they really are. A check is deposited into an account and is (to some extent) tangible proof of payment or fraud.
another thing is to have three negs like this in this short a time also almost guarantees a naru no matter what the issue is I have never seen evidence of this. If it were true, you could pull this stunt on anyone you didn't like and get them removed from Ebay whenever you felt like it.

Answer
If it turns out to be vigilantes and there is no fraud involve, I hope eBay narus those three bidders. Kind of stupid to do this. There can be some payback in the future. This is a war in which no one wins.

Answer
And if Ebay NARU's them, I hope they also remove the feedback. The seller's well established reputation is completely trashed if they don't.
Kind Regards, Kevin

Answer
Kevin you brought up some good points that I never thought of. So the concensus is that the guy is a decent person, just running his business, who got hit by someone who is out to get him.
I"ve invited him here because I feel a bit awkward discussing him like this without giving him a chance to input.
So very, very sad.

Dee It is always possible that the gang of 3 discovered the seller do not have the merchandise. This is especially true if the seller is using pics from other sellers or auction houses. One really does not know.
If you are going to invite the seller, you might as well invite the gang of 3.

Answer
Good point commentary; but don't you think they would have said something like that in the feedback that they left? I mean rather than complaining about his terms of service?
If someone was using your pictures instead of bidding wouldn't you contact ebay and let them sort it out? They do act on stolen pictures and descriptions as far as I know.
Just a thought.

Dee Actually, no. For eBay is on the side of the scammer. If eBay finds out you are part of a fraud vigilante group, eBay will suspend you, not the scammer. Does not matter if there is a scam going on.
It is sickening, isn't it.
Thus the gang of 3 may be discreetly disrupting this seller's business. eBay ususally do not shut down auctions of scammers using stolen pics.
