Curious Question about Ebay Warnings..

Question
Hi,
I'm curious how many of you have recieved warnings (or suspensions) from ebay...
Racking my brain..here's what I come up with
I had an auction removed from Featured during a club99 event where I had the auction preapproved ...it was put back..This way back years ago..
I got a warning for listing a bulk lot of playboys in the wrong category..way back again..
Jim got a suspension for nothing..(no reason given..account reinstated)
Since I haven't really sold in years, I can't chalk up anything recently. With so many rules, I'm sure I'd get slammed if I were to sell again ..even thought I have a really good handle on the rules..

Answer
both were fakes.
Not bad for having 5 selling ID's.

Answer
Not sure... once (early on, unknowingly) listed a fake and got VERO'd, with the accompanying threats of punishment from ebay. Is that a warning? I guess I didn't really take it that way, since I'm an honest seller, and try not to break the rules. Silly, maybe, I believed what I read on the package & item, but VERO set me straight!

Answer
2 Warnings
VeRO'd auctions both times...within two weeks of each other (two different items).

Like Pam...I'm assuming these were warnings. I got the standard VeRO notice on both auctions, but nothing else.

Answer
I have received multiple warnings for items being sold in the "mature audiences" category. It is policed by staff from Salt Lake City who are not only very straight laced, but very uncomfortable with the genre.
One warning was for having used the word "extreme" in an adult video with "extreme sports" as its theme. So in the eBay world, "extreme" is a dirty word.
In another featured auction I was selling a lot of six videos. Each one was picured, and the auction was cancelled for having more than two pictures.
Another of my sins was using the world "hard core" to describe a video, since most of what I was offering were the tamer British "soft core" variety. Those words, too, were forbidden. In fact, it was difficult to accurately describe what I was offering without getting the SLC censors up in arms.
I stopped selling in this category a long time ago, since the ridiculous rules made it too much trouble. The category is still going strong, nevertheless, and many sellers routinely disregard their TOS. Many also seem to expect to get closed down. They are back in business hours later under a different seller name. It is all a game.
I have never had a warning on my more traditional offerings, and have done perhaps 10,000 of them. Just the adult videos caused all my problems.

Answer
I've only had one warning and one auction closed down. A Playboy magazine not old enough to meet the arbitrary "vintage" year. When I searched that issue the morning I got the notice, all four auctions for that issue had been shut down. The only reason I know that was that I'd checked pricing when I'd listed.
Some self-appointed priss was workin' hard to keep the world safe from Playboy.
Peace,
Sadie

Answer
I recieved two warnings and two auction's ended over my years at ebay.
The first one was nipple jewelry (properly listed in the mature audiences section). The only reason I could fathom was that I had the jewelry attached to a nude maniquin.
The second was a set of nunchucks (sp?). That was in violation of ebay policies but I didn't know it. It never even occurred to me to check before listing since they regularly sell knives, swords and such.
Was never suspended though.

Answer
I forgot about one of my warnings, which indeed was in the regular book section. It was a photographic essay book with poetry, and one of the images I used was of two guys kissing. They were fully clothed.
There was no nudity in the book though it appealed to a specialized audience. They would look for the book in the regular book section.
I was told that this was offensive and belonged in the "mature audiences" category.
I of course noted that pictures of mixed sex couples were routinely allowed, as were bare breasts.
This proved to me that the censors at eBay are alive and well, and that some uptight people in Salt Lake City are applying their Morman beliefs (gays are excoriated by Mormans) to eBay offerings.

Answer
I don't recall how many times, but I've had a few auctions shut down for VERO issues.

Answer
Oh yeah! Larry reminded me of another warning I had gotten for using BDSM in the title. And it was listed in the mature section.
