Surprise - guess who does not accept PayPal...

No wonder they are going out of business.

Answer
But, they accept PayPal Debit Cards.

Answer
I don't think that is the reason they are going out of business. Ebay bought them because they were a viable competition.
Then ebay saw how they could make a lot more money assimulating them and then you would have to pay listing fees.
I've just sold books that I listed there a year ago. Books are a funny thing in some cases. People are looking for a certain book at a certain time and it is often not at the time you are listing it on ebay with your 7 day listing. Could I possibly have listed it for that long on ebay without going far far into the red?
Even if I only listed it for a couple of months the listing fees would have been high for a low cost book.
This is probably one of the smartest moves ebay has made i.e. buying the competition and then removing it and charging listing fees!
Now it remains to be seen whether booksellers on half open an ebay store move to a book site like Abe and Amazon or set up shop on a free site.
If everybody moved their books to a free site like SYI then word would spread that there is a low priced Amazon and people would come. Build it and people will come!

Answer
I list on Alibris (no listing fees but 20%), Choosebooks (10% Commission), and Biblio (15% with a max depending on the number of books - a capped commission), with first three months free.
Biblio actually does quite well compared to Alibris.
I am also on Myownbookshop, a small site with no 'rent' but a commission structure that I forgot, but that is getting better over time.
Sites with 'rent' suck, and should be avoided. Some books can take years to sell, if you want a decent price for them.

Answer
I would have welcomed the opportunity to be a buyer at Half, but no international buyers were allowed when I went to look. I would have thought books would lend themselves very well to international sales - difficult to break, and cheap postage for heavy weights (with M-bags), or often easily fit into a Global Priority bag.
