This eBayer's ME page has some useful information regarding setting up a business on eBay and distributor/wholesaler resources. I know nothing about this venue myself since my interest is in antique or vintage items but his ME page has been recommended by quite a few of the regular posters on various eBay Boards. His posting ID is "imstalkingyou" - this is NOT his selling ID but is the ID he uses when posting on the eBay Boards. He wants to keep his selling ID private. BTW, his posting ID was just suspended yesterday for some board infraction.

Personally, I think you need to buy below wholesale prices in order to make any money on eBay. Many of the retail items I've seen on their site sell at the wholesale price or less.

Derek, I take it you are in Birmingham UK and if so is there not a major international Trade Fair that takes place in Birmingham. As I recall there are thousands of wholesalers with their goods spread out over several huge buildings and they are all ready to take orders.
The Fall Trade Fair has just happened 5-8 September but the Spring Trade Fair is scheduled for 6-10 February. Their website is at www.springfair.com and you can sign up on line for free if you have proper verification.
You do need to have your business credentials set up in order to attend. It can be a hassle, but is worth it since it can enable you to buy locally while selling globally. You will likely need a business checking account, business credentials and some references. Can be difficult, but many of us have done it.
Another resource for you might be www.exhibitions.co.uk which lists upcoming trade events either by type of product, dates, and/or location.
No offense, but for god's sake, think about getting someone ELSE to prepare your auction copy. Someone who can write and spell. Otherwise you will just be pissing your money away on listing fees, chum. lol.
