Handy Little Tips for eBayers

Question
Talking Alarm Clock
This useful little freeware program sits in my system tray. I use it to remind me to "bid now" on auctions which are closing. It can also be used to set all sorts of reminders.

Answer
Do you know how to deciper times messages were e-mailed to you from someone in an unfamiliar time zone?
For example, this message I received today shows:
Date: Sat, 18 Sep 2004 11:56:20 -0700
The last 4 digits indicate that the time of 11:56 represents Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) minus 7 hours. Want to know what time zone that is? Go you your "My here" and click on "Edit Profile". Scroll down to "Date and Time Auctions". Each time zone is listed in a drop down box, as well as what the time zone means in relation to GMT.
This is useful to know, for example, if you've sent out an end-of-auction invoice and 2 or 3 hours later check your messages to find a message from the same person asking for an invoice. Did your two e-mails cross in-transit or was the invoice never received? A time check will give the probable answer.

Answer
Irene, thanks for that link. I've been looking for an alarm clock for a while. That one is just perfect..and cute, too!

Answer
IRENE!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
That clock is exactly what I needed! I can set it for Mon, Wed, Fri at 11:45 am so if I get into editing picks or writing descriptions and lose track of time, it can remind me to pick up my son at preschool.

Oh goody!
