Question
Anyone use the Ebay Anything Points Program and how does it work and is it worth it. If I understand it right it's free (surprise) but not sure what it really is or how you get the points and what to do with them??? http://community.here.com/infopop/em...n_confused.gif

Answer
Be afraid, be very afraid.
With ebay/paypal everythings a catch. They're gonna find some way to screw people over on this one too.

Unless I'm reading something wrong, you only get a 1% return for your bonuses. The Paypal Debit Card pays 1.5%, my Amex Blue pays 1.5% to 3%, and Discover pays 1% cash, not points. Also, airline miles cards probably offer a better return than 1%. So, I'd be charging up a lot of cards every month before I'd ever get around to using that eBay card for it's diddly 1% in ebay points.

Apparently I need to jump through a lot of hoops to get those dumb points. I don't wanna sign up for a new credit card, get a new cable tv company, or get a new cell phone. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...n_rolleyes.gif
They should design the program so that points can be gained in a number of different ways, not just signing up for a new product. For example, why don't we earn points when we reach a new star? Or when we reach a new sales level?
