Good Lord-will be all be around for the natural and impending imploding of ebay? Stupid idiots

Answer
....the natural and impending imploding of ebay? Sadly, I think we are witnessing that implosion. The problem is the size of the monolith that is Ebay. It IS a monopoloy. It is a cash cow, that should have relatively small outgoings. Small sellers will fold long before it does. Big sellers will fold long before it does. But until that implosion results in the super-nova of Ebay itself, there is no opportunity to get back to the basics of what the market-place really is and re-creating a sound business model that taps into one of the greatest markets of all time.
The implosion is clearly happening but it may not actually take down Ebay, just a lot of good people who rely on it.

I read the thread. I'm speechless! There just are no words to express proper disgust. It's bad enough to not be able to put links in the auction to information on or about an item that "might" have another link to a site that sold something. But from a board to a site that could help compose the listing better??? My Lord, what next.

Answer
I used to help out on the Music board but after getting pink slapped several times I just quit posting there..people used to inquire as to where one could get record shipping supplies so I told them where I got mine..of course,it wasn't on Ebay so I guess that was a big no-no..lol.
One pink gave me 10.00 off my account for helping out and 2 days later another pink threatened to suspend my posting privleges..it's not worth the hassle.

Answer
There is no end or logic to ebay's craziness or rules.
We have have auctions taken down because of a link to our web site where there is NOTHING for sale; just info about our mission and cats for adoption.

Answer
I have often wondered what would happen if all those (some really really devoted) people on the eBay boards all stopped helping.
Would eBay come up with something if all that free volunteer labor left??
At least before it was farmed out to LiveWorld there used to be ThankYou money once in awhile.
Think I ended up with $40 or $60 altogether . Better than the pink emails
As Doowhoper said......a credit today and a slap the next day!
