The Forum for the "eBay Store & Website Study Group" has been added.
Click on tab for the "Discussion Forums" on the top of this page, scroll to the bottom of the page and under "Conference Rooms" you will see the first Forum is "eBay Store & Website Study Group".
This process is new here at here so we are taking it slow (any suggestion we really don't know exactly what we are doing is hurtful, not necessarily untrue, just hurtful)
Jim will shortly post the general guideline for these type of Forums.
Gabs-A-lot and myself (designated Forum leaders) will then post a summary of the purpose of this group, a link to previous discussion and the procedure for joining in these same Forums.
Following that people can signup through here (open to all members of here and there is no charge for participation)
We will then use the time between now and Tuesday Sept 21st for people to register, learn to use the Forum, discuss and agree upon our Study Group procedures and schedule from within the Forum, answer questions and get things started.
This is a peer group with no instructor. Gabs-A-Lots and myself are designated as "leaders" for the purpose of coordinating with here and have the privilege of turning on lights, plugging in the coffee pot and emptying wastepaper baskets. Decisions will be by group concessus and polls (if needed)
Anyone is welcome to email or PM me at any time but I would suggest you consider posting questions in this or future threads so that the answer/discussion can be viewed by all interested parties.
More soon. Thanks Ray
Answer
OK, I just found this thread in the here Town Hall that would explain why no one could see what I was speaking about.
"Conference Rooms.....
And here is what it says:
Conference Rooms....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a section at the bottom of the forums called Conference Rooms - I have this section setup so that you can only see the rooms that you have access to. (less clutter)
One way you gain access to one of these rooms is by joining a 'group' that has access to the room.
For example:
If you are reading in the eBay forum and see a post about a study group for eBay Stores, and it tells you that to participate in the study group, and gain access to the study group room, you have to join the study group from within your Myhere Control Panal. Then, once you do that, you will see the Study Group Room down in the Conference Room section. Until you do, you won't.
Does that make sense?

Here's the official introduction thread from the Town Hall...

The Conference Rooms are located at the bottom of the forums and are available to all members for specific purposes and events. These 'rooms' will be run by either here, or someone we designate.
Again, I believe the most efficient way to provide the information about these is in the forum of an FAQ, so here we go...
I have the conference rooms setup so that you can only see the rooms that you have access to. (less clutter in the forum) - Some forums you will be able to access without restriction, some may require a password, others will require group Membership before you will even see them.
General Guidelines
What are Conference rooms?
Conference rooms are available to here members to use for specific needs. These are not general discussion rooms, but are set up for a specific purpose. Some of these may be workshops, work groups or a conference. What are the rules for the Conference rooms?
The here User Agreement will always still apply, but the hosts for these individual forums may set additional rules or requirements, which you must follow. Are they open to everyone?
For instance, if a user were to start a group for website owners, the requirement may be that you actually have a website in order to participate.
The host of the study group, workgroup or conference sets up these requirements. Each conference room will have a specific charter that further breaks down any requirements and/or policies, or rules of conduct.
here will begin hosting workshops in the next few months, and these will be open to all. However, some study groups, or conferences may have requirements in order to join the group. The host of the specific study group, work group or conference sets up these requirements..How do I join a group? (or gain access)
go to your Myhere >> Group MembershipsWill these Conferences, work shops, and study groups show on the here Calendar?
You will see what groups are available for you to join.
Sometimes you will be able to enter a conference room without joining a group, in these instances; actually, in all instances, the instructions will be included in the post announcing the conference availability.
Yes. They will also show on the 'today's events' box at the top of the forum. How do I get a Conference room to use?
This is done on an individual basis, just PM or email me with what you want the room for and I'll work with you personally on determining the need, and setup. Can I get a Conference room to talk with my friends about my hobby?
No, Conference rooms are designed for Study Groups, Work Shops, and other business conferences and have a very specific charter.-Jim -Jim
