Woo Hoo My eBay store was featured in search!

Question
Last night I was Googling some sources for a kind of item that's been selling well for me here lately. Couldn't find a thing close to what I wanted, so I decided to check eBay for some items to resell.
Typed in my search and got the results and a lot of the items were mine already. LOL BUT just before I clicked off the search page something caught my eye.
Over on the left side at the top of the 'stores' list was my own PKs Collection Toys Gifts and More!! Yee Haa. I felt like I've finally 'arrived.'
Oh well, now the newness of it is over. It will just be old had to see my store name in print.

Answer
that is sooo cool
congratulations...
how does that happen, what is the criteria....

Answer
Oddly, the store owner running the most AUCTIONS of items matching the search appears on the left of the search page. You would think it would be the seller with the most store items..but, no. Ebay says store names are randomly placed, or placed in rotation, but since I've been watching, it's auction generated.

Answer
Gabs I don't know exactly how it works. I thought if a search brought up 10 or less results then it would also show store items.
But my store was listed at the top of the stores that also have those type items and mine also had the most quantity. Maybe that's why it was first?
I was just happy to see it there. I have a friend that's a power seller of Thomas the Tank stuff and she said when she does a search for Thomas items she's never seen her store listed.

Answer
Mary, I re-read your post and now I get it. Duh. I guess maybe the way I searched brought up mostly my items. And that's why my store was on the top of the list.

Answer
I can't recall it exactly, but somewhere in your store preferences is a check box for allowing your store info to come up in searches. I find this very good advertising. Check around in your store setup or My eBay preferences and see if you can find it.
