Question
Three weeks after the auction I receive a email, "don't want this item" the bid was a mistake. This was the first comunication from the customer.
This person is a buyer and a seller with about 200 feedback (5 negs), so they know the system. Most negs state rude behavior
So I file for the fvf's.
A day later they email "asking me to remove the mark against them from ebay" and threatens to leave a neg.
I politely decline unless he follows through on the purchase.
He then emails calling me a dumb a$$ and TELLS me to remove the "mark" against him.
He just knows how to make me melt and feel all sorry for him
He is on ignore now. I am sure we will get a neg, because he did not follow through and pay for a item he purchased I am unsure where that logic even comes from.
Yes I know many have encountered this type of bidder, just venting, and wondering (out loud type of wondering, knowing it will do no good) when ebay will really address this type of behavior.
Oh well, I will go chear myself up, and go buy some more snowmobile stuff (Yep it was 85 degrees here today) OH baby, new ski's a comin!!!!!
Answer
I know venting can be a good thing! We have 3 negs from two crazy buyers and I still remember those two idiots vividly. One woman bought two things, wouldn't pay, we went through the npb process and finally left negs. That's when she unleashed her craziness - email after email of vitriol and two retaliatory neg's. The other woman added money for usps insurance to her check. We don't offer usps insurance; she never mentioned anywhere she was adding money in; we didn't notice; even though her package arrived promptly and safely she neg'd us for not buying insurance. She later apologized and never cashed the check we sent her returning her insurance money (which I think was a whopping few cents). I am amazed sometimes when I see sellers who have been around as long as us who are still at 100%. Somehow they've missed the crazies. We miss most of 'em but every once in a while..... What bothers me a little is buyers can't look just at negative feedback. Ours are buried so far back that buyers will see they exist but I can't imagine any actually wading through to find out they were left by crazy people. But I don't think it has hurt us at all; just bothers me a little. Maryanne
Answer
Maryanne, try this.
Pretty neat tool for checking negs and neutrals. Don't remember who posted it or where, but I sure grabbed it when I saw it.

Thanks for the welcome. I have avoided getting involved in the forums on eBay for various reasons but after previewing some of the intelligent and relevant discussions that take place here I decided to venture forth and join. I look forward to the opportunity for enlightenment!
Answer
I would forward his email saying he will neg you if you do not remove the FVF request to ebay or safe harbor.
That is feedback extortion and ebay "should" prevent him from posting the neg feedback.
Makes me glad I haven't listed anything in a while. lol
hope you don't get the neg
