I got an e-mail last night for $5.00 off of any purchase over $9.99 (minus S/H/I of course). Naturally, you have to pay with PayPal. I thought this sounded nice, since I broke my rules and bought something else on eBay.
However, I only got this "special" offer sent to my Seller ID's e-mail, and must use that for the discount. I had already made my purchase with my Buyer's ID. They are interchangeable sp? on my PayPal account, but I am SURE that they would not allow me to use the special code.
Did others get this e-mail? I am guessing that eBay only sent it to ID's, which have not been used for *purchases* lately? I keep hoping it will show up in my Yahoo e-mail, so I can use it for my purchase last night.
I probably should not hold my breath.

I got one of those but it was several months ago. I think I picked out a $9.99 DVD that offered free shipping.
I'm pretty sure it was offered to my Sellers account, both e-mails are signed up on my Paypal. Maybe they send em out when and account shows no buying activity.

I got two $5.00 coupons. I'm 100% sure one of them was for playing the "Camp eBay" thingie but I'm not sure if the second coupon was for "Camp eBay" or something else. I didn't look the gift horse in the mouth too long if you know what I mean. I spent one on a DVD and the other on a book.

Me too. I've got two and they're useless unless you're willing to spend more than the amount on the coupon. AND they're non-transferrable.

Well, I checked my Buyer's account last night. I had a new message from eBay about celebrating their birthday yada-yada.
All of the products pictured were identical to my $5.00 coupon e-mail, except there was NO COUPON. I guess I'm going to just HAVE to find something cheap to buy under my Seller's ID. This shouldn't be too hard for me to do.
