Question
Trying to get this resolved is like having a stupid migraine. It takes forever and never totally seems to get resolved. Below is a copy of what I emailed ebay:
Ask about selling (for sellers only) > Billing and fees > The problem you're having with billing and fees isn't listed
Message: My account is so SCREWED UP it's getting ridiculous. I even made a $30.00 toward my account and it's still GOING TO A NEGATIVE AMOUNT.
If I get billed for the erroneous amount I will cause a stink! I never have a NEGATIVE amount on my bill, it's always an overage because I don't like "auto deducts" because of similar problems in the past with other companies.
I really need to be contacted about all this and WANT TO KNOW when my account balance is going to be corrected to the amount of overage it should show!
GADS, I'M GETTING SICK OVER HOW LONG THIS IS ALL TAKING. You're billing dept or someone in programming should be FIRED. Because at this point in time it looks like the accounting dept is taking off with all the funds I have deposited into my account.

How long does it take to resolve the bill issues? It's been almost a month now!
Answer
I agree.
I think they should just zero all our balances out and write it off to "goodwill".
After all the screwups, glitches, fumbling with IS and this ongoing billing problem I think we should just get a credit!

Ok, it's me ... badger9000. I got messed up in the change over and couldn't reconcile my email, name, password - so I just changed everything. Snippy it is now.
As for the billing mess, I noticed something several weeks ago. I think it may have coincided with the new My Ebay pages. We are still on a cash basis with eBay. No credit card on file. Because I send them checks to put money on our account, we are often in the red. I send them $50 ... run auctions ... the money is used up and the fees usually give us a negative balance around -$70 or so. We are allowed to go in the red to -$30 (I think) before we can't post anymore. I send another check to put money on our account and we are then about +$10 to the good (depending upon what I send) and we go again. It's been like that forever.
But one day I was listing and I noticed that instead of going *in the hole,* the money was racking up on the positive side of things. The nut jobs at eBay switched it! Now, when I have a negative balance, like -$25.00, that really means that I have $25 good dollars on account with them. When my auctions run and the fees add up ... the amount that I owe shows up as a positive amount and that is what they want us to pay.
Does this make sense? I am positive they switched the way they keep track of the money. Negative is now good (money I have on account), positive is now bad (money I owe). Maybe this is what is causing some of the billing headaches.
And while I am here ...
I wanted to list some auctions a while back but I didn't have enough money in my eBay account to do so. It takes 7 to 14 days to get the money credited when I send a check, so I broke down and opted to do the *one time payment* through my checking account. The money was posted within about two hours! That's what I've been doing ever since - the one time payment (checking account not on file), no automatic deductions. I even did this on a Saturday morning once and our account was credited within about two hours. The site says 2 business days, but we've had good luck paying this way. I just thought I would mention it as I know there are some other people who are still on a cash basis like we are.
That is all.

Anyone who is having trouble accessing their June 2004 Invoice via My Ebay - Seller Account, try going through Site Map - Check my Seller Account Status.
I haven't a clue why, but that worked for me so I could FINALLY see my June invoice.
Have no idea when it'll come out of my account but its progress I guess?
Answer
hey Snippy, we have five accounts, and three are like that and the other two are fine....go figure that out.
