COBRA to conversion policy

Question
What is the name of your state? Georgia
When I returned to graduate school full-time I kept my insurance under COBRA because I have a pre-existing conditions that made COBRA more affordable than paying for my medications out of pocket. Now that my COBRA is ending, I can convert my policy and they will still cover my pre-existings.
Question:
Since I will be graduating and going back on a group health insurance plan with my new employer starting in August, will these few months on a conversion policy "break" my coverage? In other words, once I go back to a group policy, will I be subject to the 1(?) year exclusion period?
Thanks in advance

Answer
If it is a true conversion policy they will cover your pre-ex. Conversion plans are HIPAA qualified.
