Not sure if this is the right place,,but I have a friend who drives a dump
truck for a local company. The dump truck fell over when the ground under
the right side gave way while he had the bed lifted. The damage came out to be more that $9,000.00. The employer said that he had to pay it back, and that the employer would deduct a percentage per pay check. I'm also sure
that the employer made a claim on his insurance for the repair. I understand my friend paying off the deductible, but wouldn't it be illegal for the employer to receive payment from the insurance company and my friend for the accident?

If employer gets paid off by insurance company, then make sure friend pays insurance company.
