Connecticut.
I was recently terminated by my company and I went for COBRA for medical insurance for my family.
I old employer told me my total monthly insurance was $390 (for me, my wife and a kid).This is what they paid the ins company every month. My share was $195 and company's share was $195.
I understand that under COBRA rates cannot be more than 102% of $390.
But I got a letter from COBRA administrator company (HM benefits Administrators Inc) and the monthly premium indicated is $810.65
, which is more than double.
I called them and they told me this is the rate they got from my old company and I should check back with my old company.
When I speak to old company they tell me $390 was the rate.
Who can I talk to for the correct information and to fix the issue?

Start with whomever is in charge of Benefits at your employer. This appears to be a matter of miscommunication between your employer and the administrator.
