Cobra no longer an option; one of the first things I checked into. I apparently can most likely be approved if under a company, just not as an individual. My company has been trying to attain medical insurance but since it's a new company with not enough credit history or whatever they havne't given it to us. My alternate looks like finding another job; but with this economy it's very difficult.

Violent.....As I recall you are in Texas, and I still believe you should be able to find coverage. Here is a webpage of Agency/Brokers, companies and coverages offered for Texas....you may want to give them a try..
