? liability

Question
wv..my husband and i have property in wv that we use as a camp. we are in the process of getting homeowners insurance. we have invited some friends to camp whenever they like also. there is no money involved but they will help cut grass. can we write up some kind of agreement as far as not being held liable for any injury to them or thier children while they are there? if so is there anything specific that should be stated in the agreement?

Answer
You can, but it likely would not be much good, particularly if the kids get hurt as they can't sign. Your best bet it to have homeowners insurance for the place, if you can get it. You could ask the guests to indemnify you from all claims, suits and expenses including attorneys fees, but if the kid gets a $1 million injury and the parents have $10,000 in assets, the agreement, even if valid, would be not worth much....
