Question
I own a house in Oklahoma and our home was damaged by a very large hail storm in the last month and a half. I have insurance through State Farm and they filed a claim and sent an appraiser out that found our roof to be a total loss. We also had some leaks on the ceiling inside the house. We were compensated for the roof (minus deductable and depreciation) and paint for the ceiling. A few days later, after more rain we noticed a lot more water damage. I called my agent and he told me to call the person that was handling my claim in Oklahoma City. Three weeks later the guy finally called us back. When the second adjuster came out, she stated that we had to file a second claim and pay a second deductable even though they agree that all of the damage was caused during the same storm. Is this necessary considering the hail caused the water damage and they knew this since they offered to pay for paint?

Answer
We were compensated for the roof (minus deductable and depreciation) and paint for the ceiling. Okay, you were compensated... but did you actually have the roof repaired??
If so, pursue your claim against the roofers insurance.
If not, then you can't recover twice for the same settlement.

Answer
The problem seems to be that you didn't mitigate your losses. You say that after ANOTHER rain, there was more leaking. If the roof was leaking in the first place, the whole thing should have been tarped. If it was tarped, another rain shouldn't have caused more leaking. If it WASN'T tarped, then another storm caused more damage, for which you'll need to file another claim. The problem is that the claim will probably be denied - at this point the damage is from wear and tear, not a covered incident (Rain is not covered).
