Question
What is the name of your state? South Carolina.
I very recently had a flood in the basement. The water came from a City of Columbia broken water main. It was repaired previously for the same problem within the last 18 months.
I had a dehumidified tent containing various musical equipment and electronics, approximate value $25,000. The 2 inches of water being circulated within a dehehumidified tent has ruined the equipment.
My insurance company will only cover $5000 of property for this kind of damage.
Is it advisable to sue the City of Columbia for the difference in value or am I just wasting my time?
Many Thanks!
