What is the name of your state? SC. I have just stopped working and I am receiving LTD benefits from my insurance company. Unfortunately, I will not be able to afford to keep this coverage until I am eligible for Medicare (if SS disability is apprvd). I also cover my son who is in college. Are there any medical programs/benefits for someone in my situation?What is the name of your state?

You can look into whether you qualify for Medicaid, that is probably your best bet. If your only income is disability, it is likely that you will qualify.
