health insurance responsibilities to employees

Question
What is the name of your state? Ohio
I am the manager of two stores with an LLC. I was told I would receive health insurance. I have been working for this company for 7 months and have not received any yet. I recently found out that other people in the company with less responsibility than I, have received this benefit. I am salaried. They are hourly. Is this legal?
Thank you.
Sheryl

Answer
That depends on the definition of an eligible employee, under the terms of the insurance policy. The law does not require that an employer provide health insurance at all, and it most assuredly does not say that salaried employees must receive it before hourly employees.
You will need to determine who is considered an eligible employee under the terms of the policy, and whether or not you meet that definition.
