Overcharged Premium

Question
What is the name of your state? Tennessee
I have had the same health insurance for nearly 10 years. Over the last 3 years I have seen my insurance rates double. I am under 40, in good health, and haven't been to a doctor in 4 years. Nothing about my health situation has changed. I have rarely used my insurance and have paid all of my premiums on time.
I recently shopped insurance online and found my insurance company has the same plan I am on for HALF the price I am currently paying. All of the plan details are the same as what I have (same deductable, same network, same OOP, ...). My insurance company has offered to "switch" me to this plan and charge me the reduced amount.
What this means is that I have overpayed them to the tune of almost $3000. Do you know of any recourse?

Answer
No. It is a sad fact of life that insurance needs to be shopped regularly to keep rates down. The longer you stay on with a particular insurance company, the higher your rates are going to be. Any HR person will tell you that.
You had the option, every year when your insurance rates were raised, to look elsewhere.
The fact that they are offering the insurance for a lower price, does not make charging the higher price illegal.
