Question
My son's insurance company is doing a pre-existing medical investigation. I don't know what they are looking for, they won't tell us anything. He has never been diagnosed with anything. He is 26. They have requested a list of all doctors he has seen in the past 10 years. This has been going on since July. He is paying his premiums and can't use the insurance. They aren't paying any claims. How long can this go on, is it legal? What if he gets really sick or injured? What can we do??
HELP!
Answer
Something sounds funny. Did he lie or omit to disclose information on the application?
Contact your state insurance department if he did not.
