I am a medical rep and used one of my accounts to have treatment. The practitioner who treated me, had a disaggreement with me and is now telling my co-workers that I owe the practice money to try to get me in trouble. He told my superior the same information trying to make me look bad and get back at me.
2 questions that I have...
1. Did the practioner break the HIPPA rules by releasing patient information to my co-workers....
2. How can I ensure the practitioner doesn't continue to lie and slander my reputation in my industry....he has intent to go after me to make sure I lose business and monetary earnings...
ANY THOUGHTS ON HOW I SHOULD PROCEED.
