I had Insurance with Health Net for one year. Unknown to me as soon as I started getting some claims they started looking for something that was not disclosed on the application. It took them one year but they did find something. After they dropped me I was left with $20,000.00 in medical bills. Do I have any legal recourse against the insurance company? If so what kind of attorney do I need and can the case be taken on contingency

If you failed to disclose information on the application that was material to the underwriting process, you have no recourse.
If the carrier has unfairly evaluated the situation, the CA DOI is the first step in rectifying the situation. If that fails, seek legal advice.
