Found a better life insurance policy/rate through a highly rated company, and signed the policy. Received the confirmation that the policy has been underwritten.
I now want to cancel my prior life ins. policy, the agent says that he has not received the proper forms from my new insurance company. And that there's a law that stipulates that he must receive some type of notification that indicates I have decided to pursue a policy with an alternate company.
The agent representing my new policy says that the only state which requires that type of notification is New York.
