My husband was diagnosed with a heart attack. Now his heart is not fuctioning to its capacity and this is a life threatening situation. He needs angioplasty to recover the heart function.
He did not have insurance coverage when that happened. My insurance coverage (Humana) starts in December, but it will still not cover the treatment of a preexisting condition.
My question is: will they cover an emergency visit if it is heart related? What if an emergency angioplasty or bypass is required, will they cover? They are supposed to cover life-saving procedures, but does that apply in our situation?

You are going to have to read the rules of the policy that you get in December. No one here can tell you that answer without reading the benefits explaination.
