The mobile home dealer I am dealing with wants to charge me $1100 for my home owners insurance required by the lender. The insurance is being included in the loan.
It only costs about $500 from Farm Bureau.
Can he charge me that much?

You can go with any home/owner insurance company you want.
Learn how to buy property, as you are not informed at all.

You will have to let the dealer know that you are getting the insurance somewhere else & then put the lender's name down as the leinholder.
