Scheduling payments on Citi cards

Question
My last statement ended on Apr 8, with a due date of May 1. My current statm will end on May 8. When I tried to schedule a pmt for the last statement, the website gave the option to select a date as far as May 8. Usually the last date Citi will allow you to select is the due date and so when I saw May 8 as selectable I clicked May 7, and today i noticed that I was late. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, but I also noticed this warning, in bold, right underneath the date pull-down:
"To avoid a late fee, schedule your Payment Posting Date no later than your due date."
The due date, also in bold, is on the 5th line. You may want to set up auto-pay.

Answer
First step is call citi bank and ask for your late fee and interest back. If you haven't been late recently and have good credit they'll credit you back.

I don't like the bill pays and auto pays from most card companies. The one I like the best is Quicken's bill pay. There are other companies that have better software, but Quicken seems to be the only one that takes responsibility to have a hard set "Deliver By Date" versus just about everyone else that says you should give several business days in advance.
