Question
I was recently billed for the PP Elite annual fees but I shouldn't have been(long story..I'll save it for another day ).
Anyways, the CSR said she couldn't revert the annual fees without converting it back to regular PP. She offered me a credit of $25 or 4000 TY points. I asked for both but my request was turned down politely :p
I took the 4000 TY points(they sell 1000 TY for $25 so I figured this is a better deal). I just wanted an opinion on what you guys would take? :)
Thanks!

Well, I don't know that I'd ever buy them at 2.5c per ($25 for 1000). Based on other posts from this forum, I would equate the value of a TY point somewhere around 1.5cents. So, would I take $75 or 4000 TY points? I would take $75, since I would value the points at roughly $60.
However, YMMV. Somebody just posted a 1.7c redemption rate, so that's closer to a push.
[Edited after title change: Well, at $25 I would definitely take the TY points.]
Answer
I've always been able to get 3+ cents/point on domestic award reservations. I would definitely take the points!
In fact in this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=529921&page=15 I share how I redeemded them for an award worth 4+ cents a point. Thank you points all the way!

Was the offer $75 or $25? (Title does not match message). If would rank $75 > 4000 > $25.

Oops, that was a typo. I meant $25 OR 4000 TY.
Edit: Thanks, pizzaman for editing it promptly!
Answer
4k TY is much better than $25. You can cash in 6k for a $50 gift certificate. That places 4k miles at a minimum value of $33. You can easily make them worth more than that.
Answer
The other issue is that if this is a PPElite and the points post to the card, they can get matched by flight points. So then it's 8k effectively...
Answer
take the 4k points....which as per the above post will turn to 8k....no brainer....
which movers you closer to a nice redemption....
what would $25 do for you?

4000 TY points is by far the best value..as already pointed out. Even at a value of $.01 you make $40 versus $25.
Answer
Thanks, everyone. Just to reiterate I *did* end up choosing the 4000 TY points. Good point about it effectively being 8k points ^
